On the day of his retirement, Émile, a literature professor in Dieppe, gives his young students one last lesson on literature and love, encouraging them to become the poets of their own lives. A student asks him about his own feelings. Is Émile still in love with his wife? Unable to answer, he discovers, once he returns home, that his wife has left him. He is forced to apply his own precepts to himself. Two encounters and a reunion will then help him reinvent himself.

Historian Maarten van Rossem explores with his sister Sis van Rossem, an art historian, and his brother Vincent van Rossem, an architectural historian, cities in the Netherlands, Belgium and Germany.

Bella is a single mother business and mother trapped in the normal everyday insanity. Nevertheless, she is happy. But from now on, everything gets out of hand. The house, in which the elderly-shared apartment of Bella's father and their own physiotherapy practice are located, is to be sold and renovated. Bella would not be Bella if she was not determined and would fight with all her might against the injustice and sale of the house. But as she juggles with family, her practice, PR campaigns, demos and squatters, Bella needs to realize that even her power is not endless.

Samuel goes to Nice to pass the exam of the School of Fine Arts. He is accompanied by Nordine, uncultivated in art who takes some holidays.

The sad and sometimes darkly funny lives of various denizens of Chicago's social and economic underside provide the focus of this adventurous independent comedy-drama.
